Mitsubishi Colt Coupe-cabriolet Show Car.Melbourne International Motorshow, .Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Clarendon St, Southbank, Melbourne .14th February 2006.The coupé-cabriolet echoes Mitsubishi Motors' first ever show car - the 1962 Colt 600 Convertible - and was jointly developed with Pininfarina. It has just begun production in Turin (Italy) for European markets. Based on the Colt 5-door platform rather than the shorter Colt 3-door for packaging purposes, the sporty 2+2 convertible takes its design cues from the acclaimed 2003 CZ2 Cabriolet concept. Compact (3.89 m) and well planted on its long wheelbase, wide tracks and 18" wheels, it offers a purposeful chunky look, matching the performance of its 1.5 litre MIVEC turbo-charged engine..(C) Joel Strickland Photographics.Use information: This image is intended for Editorial use only (e.g. news or commentary, print or electronic).
